I am currently using AVG FREE edition and am not quiet satisfied with it. I need a new antivirus that is free and is good too. Also i am using Zone Alarm firewall (FREE). If there is a better combination on firewall and Antivirus you have on your mind then please do suggesest it for me. Please give only those Antiviruses and Firewalls that are available for free !

AVG is JUNK. I recommend active virus shield. It is the best one and it is FREE.

Why is AVG "Junk"? It is the largest downloaded free antivirus online by a mile ! 15 odd million folk have it on their computors .. I actually found AOL Active shield slowed my pc on Startup , however yes it does a job and looks good... Im sticking to AVG though . Report It
I'm using eTrust's AV alongside Zone Alarm and they work well together. Unfortunately eTrust is only free for one year, but well worth using for twelve months.

NOD 32 is the best anti virus i ever seen
Avast and Zone Alarm are currently the best free security programs presently. You were correct to notice that AVG is not that good. Too many think is great but it's ranking for protection is fairly poor.
